Second Shooting a Wedding: 09/01/12

This was my second time second-shooting a wedding but it could not have been any more different than the first. It was much more fast paced and more controlled as to where and when we had to be places. The day was cloudy, raining, and overcast so most of the images were taken inside and they images turned out great. I used my Speedlite almost the whole time bouncing it off the ceilings or walls to help light the spaces.

Carrie and Jeff's ceremony and the reception took place at the Four Seasons in Downtown Saint Louis. My new boss/lead photographer, Karen, was great to work with and taught me alot of what went into shooting a large wedding and wedding party.  It was my job to focus on taking pictures of the groom and his men before the ceremony,to walk around and capture the day, and to complement her photos but not get in her way.  Here are some of my favorites:

Couple Session: E and J

I was able to capture this cute couple, E and J,  for some Christmas pictures that they wanted to give out to their families for Christmas gifts. ( So I couldn't show you until afterwards) They came back and said they loved them!! As a photographer, it's the best thing I can hear.   It was so hard to wait and show you.  This was one of those awesome 50 degree November days.  I found a new spot down by the river (I can't help but think of Chris Farley when I say that) that worked out great.  I may have to add it to my list of cool sites.
